| Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, a day that changed our nation forever. We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost and remember the families, friends, and communities forever changed by that tragic day.
We also remember the incredible courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away. Firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and countless ordinary Americans answered the call and showed the true meaning of courage, service, and sacrifice.
25 years later the memories remain, the stories continue to be told, and the sacrifices will never be forgotten. |
